It is past time for Department of State to accept USCIRF's recommendation and list #Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern for religious freedom. There is far too much persecution and bloodshed for Nigeria not to be a CPC. Thousands are dying in religious-related violence every year.

USCIRF .USCIRF considers arrest of Isabel-Vaughan Spruce in UK for silent prayer and prosecutions of Paivi Rasanen and Bishop Pohjola in Finland for 'hate speech' to be 'government target[ing of] individuals for their peaceful religious expression.' ADF International

USCIRF On the other trends, USCIRF has long sections on transnational repression and on the 'rise of Antisemitism and Anti-Muslim Hatred.' USCIRF also expresses concern that proposed Ukraine legislation related UOC could be overbroad and says will continue to monitor.

USCIRF There's been a lot of outreach and work from USG and NGOs towards improving religious freedom conditions in Uzbekistan, but USCIRF report says the trends are unfortunately negative.
