Protecting the lives of our cyclists and pedestrians are investments in safety that have to be made. Thank you to the family members who shared their hearts with us. We must make the investments to prevent any family from having to tell the stories of their lost loved ones.

Knowing that your child is being cared for while you’re at work is incredibly comforting. It was wonderful to tour the new SDPOA Childcare Center that will provide our San Diego Police Department employees with that piece of mind while they work at all hours of the day.

Thank you to Jim Bliesner, Remigia Bermúdez, and the artists for organizing the “Beyond The Anthropocene” installation. It was great meeting w/ artists, neighbors, and taking in the inspiring pieces.

Our Housing Choice Voucher Program helps San Diegans pay for housing they wouldn’t otherwise afford. Each dollar disbursed incredibly important. And that’s why the approval of rent increases that go beyond the state’s rent cap is concerning.

Ang and I were able to stop by closing night of the San Diego Asian Film Festival. Thank you to all the organizers for putting together an incredible lineup of films showcasing Asian American cinema. We can’t wait to celebrate the 25th year of #SDAFF next year!
