Great to see this today.👍🏻We are meeting with the Education Secretary this week to discuss the key issues facing Scotland’s Temporary Teachers. We look forward to moving forward, alongside Scot Gov to make positive changes for both Scotland’s teachers & children across all LAs.

£80m of COVID recovery funding to be made permanent allowing councils to offer further permanent contracts to teachers. This is in addition to the £65.5m funding announced last week for 1,000 additional teachers as part of our 100 days commitment.

thecourier.co.uk/fp/education/3… Last year permanent contracts promised. This year there are unemployed teachers using food banks to feed their families. Shirley-Anne Somerville Nicola Sturgeon You are allowing LAs staff schools with probationers every year & then they end up unemployed too. 🤷🏻‍♀️
