Now that California fast food workers are making $20/hour, 25% more than the minimum wage, it’s even more frustrating to get bad service. From getting a big sigh when you pull up to the drive-thru window to rolling eyes when asking for napkins, it’s so annoying. Do better.

Thelma Schoonmaker does so many cross-dissolve jump cuts in the middle of shots it's crazy. Blink and you miss them. Helps with the flow.

Wow! #TheFirstOmen is TERRIFYINGLY haunting. Nell Tiger Free is wonderful. Every moment with her is terrific. We need more studio horror like this! See it now.

There’s a moment in the first third this movie that made everyone belt out in shock. My theater was going crazy!

Dev Patel’s directorial debut, #MonkeyMan , is an alright film. Shoddy direction and uneven pacing had me disappointed. The story isn’t that interesting. It’s saved by some really cool action with some kinetic camera moves that work for the most part. It is not theater-worthy.

The only correct Denis Villeneuve ranking

#DunePartTwo is *still* playing in IMAX. What a triumphant piece of cinema. I was (and still am) lukewarm on the first movie, but the second installment is just on a whole other level. Denis Villeneuve, Greig Fraser, Hans Zimmer, Chalamet, and Zendaya are bringing their A-game.

#GodzillaXKong is ridiculously fun. Awesome fights with giant monsters in IMAX is a sweet way to spend the night.

Godzilla is sidelined, which makes me question why he’s in the title. Let’s also give this franchise some variety and go for a grounded approach in the next one.

#InTheLandOfSaintsAndSinners is a painfully bland crime thriller starring Liam Neeson. I am begging this man to work with a director with some sauce. Generic characters and a mild final action scene. Goes for an overly sentimental ending with characters that you don’t care about.

Obvious twists and cheap jump-scares aside, #ImmaculateMovie is a horror movie worth seeing for @Sydney_Sweeney alone. The final act takes place in a tunnel and is absolutely jaw-clenching. It’s not the best horror has to offer, but it’s enjoyable late-night entertainment.

#LateNightWithTheDevil is a mid film. David Dastmalchian is (finally) in a lead role and runs with it. The actress playing the devil-possessed girl, Ingrid Torelli, was very good and unsettling. I loved the vibes of the late-night ’70s talk show. Narratively, it’s rather trivial.

#GhostbustersFrozenEmpire is a cool movie and a lot of fun! It’s a good continuation of Afterlife, while not being a copy. Some good laughs and nice action bits. Mckenna Grace continues to impress me in every role she takes. I hope Reitman and Kenan can make at least one more.
