This is formal but here goes. The family of Sir Tim Brighouse are very sad to announce that Tim died in the John Radcliffe Hospital today after a short illness. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and a towering figure in the word of education. 1/

Very sad to be catching up with this news.   Tim Brighouse was an effervescent, smiling and laughing, determined and principled champion of the power of education, the potential of students and the vocation of teaching.  In the 1990s and 2000s he changed so many lives.

Not to mention education, SEND, Ofsted and absenteeism 🙏👇🏼

It was great to meet up with the Prime Minister today at Westminster. I talked with him about the issues facing communities in Wales, the need to deliver better public services and the importance of working with Welsh Government to deliver change.
