I think one thing that men donā€™t understand about us is that we imagine what our future would look like with you based on how you treat us today. When men do something that upsets us, itā€™s not just that one action but the entire principle or value system that it exposes about you

Growing up is just being repeatedly disappointed yet relieved that youā€™re not that special: for everything, someone has been there before. Maybe the only thing worse than a serious diagnosis is a veteran doctor going ā€œIā€™ve never seen your condition before but I can tell itā€™s badā€

If you feel far away from your dream and doubt your efforts: the fact that you even have those dreams means the final version of what youā€™re working on already exists (in a possible future). If you can imagine it, itā€™s already possible. Youā€™re not lost. Youā€™re just on your way.

As someone whoā€™s not super easygoing, Iā€™m impressed by mental flexibility as in people who can easily adjust themselves to get along with the room. Theyā€™re not pushovers or people pleasers, they accept differences like raindrops in a sea. Theyā€™re both-and instead of either-or

Thereā€™s no one more bitter than a smart ambitious person who knows they settled for less than what they couldā€™ve achieved if they were less of a coward. Do you really have ā€œhigh standardsā€ or is it just an excuse to never get started? The only way to never fail is to never try

Iā€™ve been thinking a lot about going back to school for architecture (something I considered in high school)

People who have been seriously hurt before tend to feel a small fear of happiness when they sense that things are going well. Happiness can be daunting because to have it means to have something to lose. Itā€™s no surprise that detachment and Stoicism are such popular philosophies

Iā€™m the happiest when Iā€™m just being, not doing. Aimless walks where the journey is the destination. Every frame in time is its own moment. Every little snapshot is enjoyed, then forgotten. I love daydreaming and being utterly disconnected from the world for 10-15k steps everyday
