We are so pleased to announce that Promontory Point Conservancy has been awarded two grants! Thanks to grants from both The National Trust for Historic Preservation's Johanna Favrot Fund & Landmarks Illinois, we are in the process of hiring an historic treatments consultant 🥳

Join us on Sunday, July 21 for our next Point Clean-Up Day! From 10:30 - Noon, we'll be pruning back vegetation and trees in and along the revetment, cleaning up the firepits in the Council Rings, and picking up trash and debris in and on the revetment, and on the parkland

We are honored to receive this grant from the Driehaus Foundation! This grant will allow us to continue working on our alternatives design study - the ONLY plan to date that combines storm damage & shoreline protection with preservation of historic limestone & ADA accessibility.
