The planet is boiling.

Yet this government continues to approve new coal mines, delays environmental law reforms, and hasn’t got a proper climate risk assessment.

The devastation in northern hemisphere is a deeply concerning sign of what may be in store for 🇦🇺 in this & future summers.

We need leadership & bold action to protect the people & places we love.

Yet 🇦🇺 govt keep approving new fossil fuel projects 🤯

Australia gives more money to fossil fuels than it does to either aid or climate finance for Pacific countries. In fact, the $ we 'gave' to Pacific programs in the recent budget was predominantly to protect our national security and bring Pacific labourers here.

Are New Zealand’s marine heatwaves a warning to the world?

Meanwhile, in Australia, gas and coal projects are being approved by federal and state governments as though there is no end of time theguardian.com/environment/ng…

Four days after losing Aston which drew criticism that they’re out of touch with modern Australia the Liberals say no to a voice. Newspoll tells us that yes is the favoured option in every state. Only men over 60 disagree.

The Uluru Statement was presented to the people of Australia. It’s important to remember, this isn’t the Govt’s referendum, this isn’t the PM’s Voice. It’s an invitation to every Australian, a chance to start a new respectful chapter. ♥️💛🖤 Vote

Former defence chief calls on gov to release climate security risk assessment.

'Why the silence from the government? Could we be shocked by what the intelligence community has told the government? Was the government itself shocked by what it was told?'

In 2028 we are predicted to export SEVENTY PERCENT more thermal coal than we did in 2007-08 when Rudd signed the Kyoto Protocol.

“Labor talks the talk, but doesn’t walk the walk” on climate.

Ross Gittins is right - there are too many loopholes in the safeguard mechanism as it stands. It must be strengthened to achieve real cuts in emissions in line with the science.

How is this not a mandate for meaningful change?

It’s so demoralising that Anthony Albanese is unwilling to act more decisively on essential climate action, tax reform, and housing policy.
