It would be good if the horror of the Bondi Junction massacre led to massive increases in mental health care, just as they would have led to massive increases in policing had it been a terrorist attack.

Resigning from Science Based Target Initiative, Stephan Singer wrote carbon credits are “scientifically, socially and from a climate perspective a hoax” and could provide a “survival floor for fossil fuel companies’ super-large scope-3 [value chain emissions]’ Chris Bowen

If you need to pass a financial services exam to advise on environmental markets, you should also be required to pass a grade 3 test on ecology and the carbon cycle.

If anything good has come of this scandal, it's exposed the way business interests are being aggressively pursued under the guise of environmental and social development charity. It's a global phenomenon and is happening here in Australia too.

Australian governments spend $11 billion per year subsidising fossil fuels. There was no complaint from Conservatives when Albo gave $1.5 billion of our money to the Middle Arm gas project… they dont mind if we pick losers, but picking winners is ‘new economics’

The Great Barrier Reef is suffering it's worst bleaching ever, with likely drastic if not catastrophic consequences.

The only way of providing reasonable hope for survival of this reef, and most tropical reefs, is to cut fossil fuel emissions rapidly.

It's really quite staggering that the agency legislated to advise the Australian Government on climate does not include science or human rights in its 'pillars' of emissions targets advice.

The fact that this isn’t self-evident and accepted is disturbing.

People expect better than pursuing a surplus at the expense of forcing the most vulnerable in our community to live below the poverty line.

We should be proud of the safety net that supports everyone from students to single parents.

The SBTi Board’s statement looks like an illegitimate takeover. We understanding that the SBTi Board of Trustees have taken a unilateral decision with no scientific basis, and no backing from SBTi's own technical council and standards development team.

So many incidents happening in West Papua these past two weeks I can’t keep up in verifying. Victims include both West Papuan civilians and freedom fighters, and Indonesian apparatus and settlers.

It’s really getting worse.

why do you think jobs 'making things' are better than the service industry jobs we can't fill now and desperately need? Aged care. Childcare. Teachers. Nurses. Mental health professionals.

What's wrong with those jobs?

Wait, is it even ok for the chair of the govt's nature finance council, who also appears to have commercial interests in environmental markets, to call on the government to fund things that may directly benefit those commercial interests?
