If you want to delegate more, try expanding your definition of “can do”. If “can do” a task only means “can do exactly the way I would, at the same speed and quality” your options will be very limited, maybe zero. Be clear on the tasks where that matters, and where it doesn’t.

If you have expectations, and you don’t communicate them clearly and in good time, you are laying a trap. Just because it seems obvious to you, doesn’t mean it is for anyone else. You are setting up those around you to fail, and you are setting yourself up to be disappointed.
