Yesterday, I was at Asda helping Royal British Legion with the poppy appeal.

Owain gave me a hand painted poppy rock to leave in remembrance of his Grandfather at the Welsh Guards memorial in the Falklands when I visit next week.

Great to meet with the proprietors of Eagles Meadow and hear about the exciting plans regarding the future of the site.

I raised the issue of parking and proposed a free parking scheme at the multi storey car park, which the proprietors were receptive towards.

On Friday I had the pleasure of attending the Wrexham Glyndwr’s graduation ceremony - the first in person ceremony in 2019. It was fantastic to be part of the celebrations, and see students of all age ranges graduating. Well done to the Class of 2022!

On Thursday night I was pleased to attend the Soldiering on Awards as my final event as Minister for DPV.

Following the reshuffle, I am returning to the backbenches where I will continue to advocate for our Armed Forces, Veterans, and their families.

Today saw the final Parliamentary stages before the new Covenant Duty comes into legal force. This will achieve better outcomes for the Armed Forces community, ensuring they are not disadvantaged in accessing public services and special provision is considered when appropriate.
