What's happening to trans people in the UK and US right now is cisgender activists laundering talking points through cisgender reporters who are then cited by cisgender lawmakers to justify banning medical care for trans people and trans people only

It is filled with flawed claims over evidence, toys, and social transition.

So, you can isolate, demonize, penalize, ostracize, use law, regulation to stop people from speaking and others participate because they see the consequences of protecting speech. Or, as often happens, BIPOC leave, because such institutional retaliation is exhausting.

If Black, Indigenous, Palestinian students just stopped talking about things that make others uncomfortable in their power, the problem is solved. If they refuse to remain silent then they should just go away.

As the Cass review is published, my thoughts are with the trans community.

Young trans people already face huge barriers to healthcare, including years-long waiting lists.

Their health and wellbeing should not be a front in a toxic culture war.
