Today in Reception we released the butterflies that we have been looking after. We have enjoyed watching them grow from caterpillars into beautiful butterflies. Fly high butterflies. 🐛🦋

Look what we’ve been making this morning...Royal biscuits are made in preparation for our banquet this afternoon. A lovely way to finish our topic on Castles, Kings and Queens.🤴🏽👸🏼🍪🏰

As part of our ‘Families’ topic, today we made some biscuits and decorated them to resemble someone from our family. Can you recognise yourself ☺️

Today in Caterpillars we have been making porridge. We have been checking our utensil list and then we followed the cooking instructions. We enjoyed trying different toppings.

Reception have been making good use of our new stage area. Some pop stars in the making! Loving the costumes 😍

Reception have been making the most of the windy weather today. 💨🌬

Today in Reception we tried some pancakes. We had a choice of toppings. There was banana, golden syrup, honey, jam, lemon & sugar. All the children enjoyed them very much! #pancakeday

Last week to finish our topic, the children enjoyed watching Skittle experiments on the Investigation Table. The children predicted what would happen when we added water. The results were amazing !

This week in Reception we have enjoyed learning all about Easter and making Easter chocolate nests to put in our Easter baskets. We want to thank all our families for all their help this term.

In Reception this week we are learning all about Minibeasts. Today we have made some butterfly cakes and some butterflies made from coffee filters. They look amazing!
