Really appreciated Home Secretary ⁦Suella Braverman⁩ ⁦Home Office⁩ found time in a very busy schedule of meetings to meet the Wellington ⁦UK in New Zealand⁩ team. The team work very hard behind the scenes to help organise and facilitate visits from across HMG!

Ah, to be 35 and still be considered young. Unfortunately I’m far too old to qualify(!) but this welcome extension of the Youth Mobility Scheme by 🇳🇿 and 🇬🇧 will provide more Brits and Kiwis with the amazing opportunity to live and work in each other countries. Go for it! UK in New Zealand

👋 Kia ora New Zealand! 🇳🇿 We’ve expanded schemes designed to help young Kiwis live and work in the UK. From today, the age limit will rise from 30 to 35 and you’ll be able to stay for three years. Just in time for our summer ☂️🎾🏏🏎️⛺🎶

It’s been quite a month on 🇬🇧 🇳🇿 trade front #TradingTogether UK in New Zealand, celebrating entry into force for the Free Trade Agreement and promoting GREAT British products and services across a range of visits and events. Phew!

I knew Wellington was putting on its best weather for me in my final weeks. Everyone knows I complain about the wind a lot: after all I walk along the harbour every day, only giving up on those days when the wind threatens to blow me into it. Thanks Wellington 🤣😆!!

My final day in Aotearoa New Zealand. Visited Cheltenham Beach - great views of Rangitoto. But the highlight had to be the pod of dolphins playing around the ferry as it docked in Devonport. Amazing. So perhaps apt to sign off with this: “So long, and thanks for all the fish…”
