Salem City Schools will be closed today due to inclement weather, Thursday, November 15th.

The Literacy Night event that was scheduled for this evening, Thursday, November 15th, 2018, has been postponed. It will be rescheduled at a later date. We will notify here, our Facebook page and on our website when the new date will be when it's announced.

Due to downed trees and downed power lines, Salem City School will be on a two hour delay for today, Friday November 16th.

With the recommendation from Salem Police and Fire Departments, Salem City Schools will be closed today, Friday, November 16th, 2018 due to the large number of downed trees and power lines.

The Sadie Hawkins Dance for the Jr/Sr High that was scheduled for tonight has been postponed and rescheduled for December 7th.

Junior Career Day has been rescheduled for this Friday, Nov 30th. All who are attending will be transported by bus to Kent State Salem Campus. Students will depart from the high school at 8:45 AM and return by 2:15 PM.

As a precaution SAHS was placed into a soft lock down at 2:35 pm due to a disturbance in the parking lot. The SAPD handled the situation, deemed it a non threat, and the lock down was lifted within 5 min. Students have since been released and should be expected at normal times.
