In yesterday’s PCVE Coordination Working Group Platform, I discussed our “whole government approach” to eradicating Al-Shabaab, destroying their fighting and financial capabilities, along with their ideological base and uprooting their influence.

Yesterday, I oversaw the handover of responsibilities from outgoing ministers H. E. Jama Hassan Khalif (@MoCTSomalia) and Jama Taqal Abbas (@MoEWRSo) to incoming ministers @MSomali55 and @MrBidhaan, respectively. I thank the departing ministers and wish the new ministers success.

Proud to welcome athlete Abdullahi Jama Mohamed to my office today to congratulate him on his success at the recent #13thAfricanGames in #Accra , where he won a silver medal in the 5000 meters. His dedication to representing his country shows the determination of Somali youth.

Today, I oversaw the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs & Rec handover from outgoing Minister Hon. Ahmed FIQI to incoming Minister Mr. Ali Jama Ali “Xoosh.” I commend Minister Fiqi for the tremendous job and dedication during his tenure. Best wishes to Minister Xoosh as he steps into his new role.
