The families whose children are dead and lives have been destroyed because of registrants who repeatedly broke the code of conduct? The ones who have had to make referrals because their employers don’t? 2/

The families who are waiting for years for you to progress fitness to practice proceedings because you agree that staff are a risk to the public yet you allow them to keep working in the meantime. The families who continually chase for updates? Where is the apology to them?! 3/

I'm so glad Sands - baby loss charity 💙🧡 & Tommy's have done this. Poor telephone triage is exactly the reason Abigail died. It is madness to me that there are no national guidelines for it, they are badly needed & would save so many lives.

Yet again Care Quality Commission blames their lack of action on the three year time limit for prosecutions. But they know the limit exists and deliberately do nothing until it is 'too late'. Baby Orlando and his family deserve so much better.

Just so beyond sick of these stories. Healthy mums don't just die. Healthy babies don't just die. They are failed by the NHS, time & time again. PLEASE let's stop pretending this is just a funding/staffing issue, it's so clearly not. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

These comments from Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman are so very welcome. It feels like a real shift in tone - let's all hope that action to match follows swiftly.
