I'm very excited to announce that our new film about critically endangered whales, Entangled Film, just won Jackson Wild, considered the Oscars of nature films.

Unfortunately, NOAA Fisheries has confirmed that a right whale has been observed entangled off the coast of New Jersey. The whale "is in extremely poor condition, with large lesions on its body." Also: "The whale has two visible lines partially embedded around its head."

With the discovery of another entangled North Atlantic #rightwhale, there are now 11 of the critically endangered species with serious injuries, or considered "dead whales swimming." That would make 10 percent of the species either dead or near death. fisheries.noaa.gov/feature-story/…
