A1: 2010 at the high school level - was fortunate enough to coach both of my sons and see them become men, and blessed to be a part of many other's journey. #hogfbchat

A2: Gotta be the old tried-and-true 'rectanglular pad' held on the hip by the biggest OL we have for guys to work down blocks! Keep it Simple and as realistic as possible #hogfbchat

A3: As a TE coach, I'm now w/the skinnys doing 7v7 during passpro. In the olden days, I had my guys doing a LOT of med ball work during OTAs. In season: 1v1 hand fighting - punching when the opportunity presented itself. Sounds rougher than it was - more speed focused

A4: replacing our central sideline iPad (that mirrors to our TVs) w/a 24" touch screen All-in-one. My hope is we'll both be able to telestrate easier AND have the QB and OC on the unit (we platoon - so our setup works as a 'mobile film room') #hogfbchat

One of the purest position prospects I've coached in the decade I've been doing this coaches! TE Trenton Duchene is worth a follow and has a legit highlight reel that only captures a portion of his on-field accomplishments (said by a former OLine-now-TEs coach 💪🏽💪🏽 )

A1: It depends - As a rule, Trap or kick out block? Turn hips and fire flat online / maybe even invert track. If block requires time/depth, skip pull. But again - all depends on where the running lane is and when it develops. #Hogfbchat

Coach Simard (@sutrcoachbobby) 's Twitter Profile Photo

A2: Following KISS - I've always favored working traps and KOs against a big body holding a bag LOW. Starting out from under the hood. Skip pulling we work mostly footwork vrs contact BUT we skip pull to get out in space - vrs an LoS block - in our scheme #Hogfbchat

A3: we base everything on the running lane in relation to the block. if inside the leverage is inside-out / head inside blocking out. If lane outside, leverage is outside in / head outside hips follow and log Log LOG #Hogfbchat

The run game is about equating numbers in the box. If you want to have a simple way to take advantage of a loaded box while creating explosive opportunities, here is a simple way to protect your runs in any offensive system. coachtube.com/course/footbal…

Wearing a ambulatory bp monitor while spending 5 mins here is enlightening. I read the HS football coaches and PGA golf ppl in "Following" - ALL GOOD. Go the the "For you" tab and see all the political stuff, ppl beating the shit out of each other, etc - BP Skies!
