I am scared for the overall landscape of the AAC next season. Yes USF, Charlotte are trending up towards the top with UAB and Memphis, but losing FAU's relevancy potentially and SMU to the ACC hurts.

This is good news for the AAC. Lanier has been a solid coach in his first 2 years with SMU. Hopefully he can bring some relevancy to Rice.

That’s a big slam dunk hire for FAU, grabbing one of the best assistant coaches in college basketball. To put into perspective how good this hire is: Grant McCasland and Jerome Tang are 2 of several former assistants under Drew at Baylor who have proven to win at the HC level.
