Saturday/Sunday double days of trail restoration. We were lucky the weekend bad weather stayed off Chantry Flat. Only a little hail on Saturday and slight showers Sunday. We cleared all the way to Hoegees Camp. Rain is fun! And the ice and the mud! Angeles National Forest Forest Service, Pacific Southwest Region

We cleaned this 2 years ago, public property where an old paddock for horses going back some 70 years was unsightly yet nobody felt empowered to remove it for historic reasons. Complaints about how it made the area look shoddy were ignored for decades so we finally removed it

Winter Creek Trail last Saturday, removing obstructions and working on the tread!

We had a crew of 14 yesterday at Winter Creek. Big logs to remove, tread work around oak root ball. Still have a few more logs to clear down to the creek and some more tread work around the root ball. Hopefully we can get the trail cleared to Hoegees Camp in the next trip or 2!
