I keep thinking about the way that for too many years we teachers didn't hold each other accountable for the racist, sexist, and BAD takes we spewed in those teacher lounges and hallways. Our students always paid for that. We must do better. (And by we I don't mean all of us)

I'm alarmed at surging book bans and efforts to remove “objectionable” books from school libraries. This morning, Oversight Dems will investigate this threat to free speech to ensure protection of the 1st Amendment in the classroom and beyond.
