Last night my wife rang me and told me she was in casualty. I watched the whole 50 min episode - she didn't appear once. She still isn't home and I am starving. Anya Brick Cop©️ Happy-ish cop Andrea Q

Spending my day on the South East Coast Ambulance Seasonal Demand Unit #SDU #OperationRadcott at Rye, covering the rural community. Since restarting on 29th March, there’s been around 50 responses in the area, halving some of the times taken to reach patients. #ImprovingOutcomes

An enjoyable #Radcott shift for South East Coast Ambulance, calls were few but public engagement was high. The day ended by helping a kind lady who’d found this abandoned baby bird gasping for breath and dehydrated - Water & 1ml syringe helped! Thanks to RSPCA (England & Wales) for attending.

The UK lags behind other countries in CPR awareness and currently less than one in ten survive an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Our #EverySecondCounts report offers recommendations of how we can change this by closing inequality gaps in resuscitation.

During May our team of volunteers was booked on for 440 hours and visited 50 patients. Thanks team, and to all who support us

Never judge a book by its cover. Today, on 2 calls I responded to, we received help from the homeless community, many of whom fight alcohol dependency & the lifelong impacts. They demonstrated raw care and compassion, without hesitation. Never judge a book by its cover…

On the journey home after the first The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh Diploma in Major Incident Management exams in Edinburgh. Taking the chance to visit a couple of landmarks and relax. Whatever the outcome, this has been an enjoyable weekend.

Interesting. I refused to pay up to £1,000 to Qualsafe to appeal a spurious complaint which was not investigated and now they refuse me the opportunity to reinstate training qualifications. Disgusting.

An excellent and informative day at the inaugural South East Coast Ambulance #Resilience Conference in Crawley today. Hard work by the team to put this together with a strong set of speakers throughout the day. Well worth attending and looking forward to future conferences. #EPRR
