Keir Starmer wants to force everyone to have a digital ID. But the Liberal Democrats say that’s not the kind of country we should be. Instead, the government should focus on fixing real problems like the NHS and social care.

People shouldn’t be turned into criminals just because they can’t have a digital ID, or choose not to. We will fight tooth and nail to oppose these plans for a mandatory Digital ID.
