The Coroner’s Bureau is releasing the identity of the decedent from the bluff fall this weekend as 23-year-old Jacob William Aladar Parker, from San Diego.

#IslaVista - Fatal Bluff Fall: at 2:35pm, deputies responded to the 6600-block of Del Playa for an adult male who accidentally fell from the bluff. Patient was transported but sadly did not survive. ID pending notification to next of kin. More info here as it becomes available

The Coroner's Bureau is releasing the ID of the accidental drowning victim from 2/19/24 in Mission Creek near Bath and W. Cota in Santa Barbara. The decedent is 45-year-old Danielle Montijo from the Ventura and Santa Barbara areas.

Sheriff’s detectives believe that the decedent found on Toro Canyon Road yesterday is not criminal in nature. Coroner’s detectives are releasing the identity of the decedent as 54-year-old Shane Craig Bandy of Carpinteria. Cause and manner of death are pending investigation.
