Greenfield, Iowa, is still rebuilding after storms devastated the community. Today, Francisco Sanchez Jr. and I met with homeowners who are using SBA disaster assistance to recover.

To help communities recover from disasters, it takes all of us. Last week in Des Moines, the SBA team and I joined federal, state, and local leaders to discuss recovery efforts due to recent storms in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, and South Dakota.

Entrepreneurs like Bob Dalton, Founder & CEO of Sackcloth & Ashes, not only create small businesses that help our economy grow, but they also enrich lives and give back to their communities. Sackcloth & Ashes donates a blanket to local homeless shelters for every blanket sold.

On my watch, we've gone from economic crisis to the strongest economy in the world: A record nearly 16 million new jobs. Record small business growth. Record high stock market. Record high 401(k)s. Wages up. And inflation is down and continuing to fall.

It’s been one year since the #Maui wildfires. At yesterday’s congressional hearing, I shared that SBA has approved over $405 million in disaster loans to support the community's rebuilding efforts. We remain committed to helping businesses recover and grow stronger together.
