Our school focus this week is on 'individual liberty' as we explore the freedom we have to make our own choices. This is especially important at this time of the year as we explore all of the emotions that can be caused by future transitions.

We really enjoyed hosting a writing day with Stephen Davies today. What an inspirational author! Our year 1 & 2 children that attended absolutely loved it!

A wonderful inset day. Lots of great training on safeguarding & behaviour. We also really enjoyed discussing our new vision, mission statement and school improvement priorities for the next two terms.

Next week, our school value focus will be on determination. We will be learning all about the amazing achievements of one of our local heroes: Alessia Russo

This week, our school will be full of acts of kindness as we focus on our school value of compassion.

26. Kent countryside looking gorgeous at sunrise this morning. Back at one of my favourite schools, Ryarsh Primary School, led by the wonderful Dan Childs. Discussing cognitive load and retrieval practice with staff, focusing on how we present new information and then remember it 🧠

What an incredible inset day on Friday. Cognitive load theory and enhancing the use of retrieval with Brad Busch InnerDrive in the morning. Learning all about how children learn to read, led Christopher Such , in the afternoon. Both sessions utterly inspirational.

Fantastic opportunity to join our Ryarsh family.

I have ❤️ working with this primary school. The teachers, senior leaders and general community feel of the school is lovely. (Plus the stuff they have done on cognitive science is impressive). Would strongly recommend applying for anyone looking for a job ⤵️

What an incredible end to the week. Time capsules, crowns, letters to future Ryarsh classes, fact files - all leading into a whole school family party on the playground. A huge thanks to our families for the coin donation. Have a look at what we used them for!

These coins will be counted so that we can make another donation to the Kent Association for the Blind to support their amazing efforts.
