A new bereavement Help Point opened in Oakham today. Organisers, trained volunteers and guests gathered at South Street Fire Station to celebrate. Drop into the station any Monday (except bank holidays) to 2pm-4pm to find positive, discreet, caring help and information.

On Sunday, All Saints Church, Oakham celebrated community, faith and service on the occasion of the Coronation of King Charles III. Magnificent music, the children in crowns, the congregation with hats and uniforms, medals and badges and smiles of happiness in the sunshine.

Food for thought? We learned from the volunteers gathered at my Food Focus reception that 2 lovely ladies have lead a village lunch club for 18 years; 20 tons of fresh food was given out in 12 months; 1 small village collects the most food for Foodbank. All by voluntary action.

Still some tickets left for my first charity concert on Saturday 22nd April.

Honoured today to open Rutland Police Station's Front Enquiry Office in Oakham with Chief Constable, Leicestershire OPCC, RutlandLordLieutenant and local officers. This will mean greater access to police and will be very well received. The previous office in council offices closed when COVID struck
