The Great Stone of Fourstones: The name suggests that there were once four stones, but now there is only one. The other three were possibly broken up for scythe sharpening stones. It is a glacial deposit on the moorlands of Tatham Fells

The Mousehole Plague Stone was used during the Bubonic Plague around 1578. It held a small pool of vinegar into which the afflicted residents placed money in, in exchange for food that was provided by unaffected neighbours in Cornwall.

Traveling musicians with their pet monkey in Taplow, Buckinghamshire in 1885. I wonder if this street has changed much.

Peter Henry Emerson: Going to market - a winter scene, England, 1886. Have no idea where this is but, it looks like it is in chalk country looking at the building material used in the cottage....?

Dunnottar Castle is a ruined medieval fortress located upon a rocky headland on the north-eastern coast of Scotland, about 2 miles south of Stonehaven. Not too sure how good the WiFi was there back in the medieval era.

This is a very old Wealden house. It has stone ground floor, tile-hung upper floor, and tall brick chimneys. The lane is on the Sussex Border Path. Kingsley Green, West Sussex.

There is something spooky, romantic and intriguing about dried up river beds. No river has flowed down this bed for thousands of years - the Nedd Fach has diverted into a complex of subterranean caves. Ystradfellte, Powys, Wales.
