To highlight one of San Elizario High Schools outstanding student athletes, Rubie Chavez who was a sophomore last season not only was the first wrestler in school history to make it the Texas 5A state meet, she finished 3rd and also finished 31st out of 77 school alone!

Im grateful for this amazing experience. Even though it’s not what I wanted and what I worked for, I am still grateful to go out here and do what I love to do. “Wins and loses don’t matter. What matters is who you become during the process.” I will be back next year…

These are the people who helped me be where I am today. Without them I wouldn’t be where I am today. Thank you guys for everything. Now we get back to work.
