It's hard to express how disappointed I am that two people who ran as very moderate Republicans voted "yes" on a bill as extreme as #HB1080. I thought better of both of you. Amber Arlint for SD and Greg Jamison

Anything else we could give rich people money for? Cover their country club membership so they don't have to use public playgrounds? Buy them their own libraries so the don't have to use the public one? What handouts will they ask for next?

📢My bill, HB 1131, just PASSED the SD House of Representatives on a 57-11 vote! This bill waives the fee for a state ID for individuals experiencing homelessness in our state, and is the reason I ran for office. IDs are crucial for accessing healthcare, jobs, housing and more.

Sd legislature (GOP ) strikes again & removes $5 million from state’s coffers for what is a voucher system for private schools (mostly religious based) . It helps about 2500 students. Um… what was the cost of the summer lunch program that would have helped how many students?

In every state that has done vouchers, the vast majority of families ALREADY could afford to send their kid to private schools. This is welfare for the well-off.

Sioux Falls: School Board elections are tomorrow, April 9th. I want to express my full support for two great candidates: Gail Swenson and Marc Murren. These two are proven leaders who want to move Sioux Falls schools forward, and I’m excited to vote for them!

Amendment F will raise SD property taxes. We know that growing government bureaucracy and increasing red tape requirements will end up denying healthcare to people who otherwise would qualify. This means more patients will face claims they cannot pay. 1 of 5

If you didn’t speak up against this atrocity, then you shouldn’t be surprised when the traitors and nazis darken your door.

Show your face, cowards. Nazis are and always will be unwelcome in South Dakota. And for this to occur on the anniversary of D-Day (where my grandfather fought) is disgusting and despicable. I hope every SD legislator joins me in condemning the actions of this group.

Did Casey Crabtree and Will Mortenson call the Governor to ask her to reverse her decision on this? Hugh Bartels? Lee Schoenbeck? How about Arch Beal and Larry Zikmund? Where’s Chris Karr on this? Sue Peterson? Do reporters ever talk to these legislators? Do they return calls?

What she has forgotten to mention is that we are 2nd worse in infant mortality, and in the top 10 for teen pregnancy. We also have no Pre-K education, and turn down money to feed kids in need. We may birth them, but we sure don't take care of them! So, a weird, and sad, flex.
