Today, in #Halifax , the future #HMCSFrédérickRolette was named in honour of the French-Canadian naval hero. The fifth of six Harry DeWolf-class vessels, the ceremony is believed to bring good luck and safe travel to the vessel and crew. #WeTheNavy

The newly commissioned #HMCSWilliamHall departed for France today for the 80th Anniversary of D-Day commemoration ceremony, including Juno Beach, on #OpDistinction . The ship's company will take part in several ceremonies and conduct port visits while abroad. #HelpLeadFight
