In 1989, Major Dee Brasseur and Captain Jane Foster became the first women in the Royal Canadian Air Force (Royal Canadian Air Force) to qualify as CF-18 fighter pilots. ✈️

Richard Garber joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1955.
He lost his life 12 years later, when the plane he was in crashed during a training flight, killing him and five other airmen.
Garber left behind his wife and their two children.

Flying Officer Allan Bundy—Canada’s first Black combat pilot.
