Attended the City of Dance Finals in the Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall this evening with Saint Charles’ Primary & LCR. Apart from seeing our girls on the stage, the highlight of the night was the dancers from Kirkriggs School for a showcase that was pure joy! Life is better when you're dancing. @ActiveschoolsTM

Throwing bricks does not protect children. Looting shops does not protect children. Burning books does not protect children. Drinking beer whilst destroying communities does not protect children. Encouraging, celebrating violence & destruction does not protect children.

I have NEVER gone into school on the last day of the #SummerBreak but I had to make an exception today. At 4.45 this afternoon Clare-rose Bonar and Mr Walker left Saint Charles’ Primary & LCR to begin their #Retirement. It’s the end of an era but their influence will be felt for many years to come.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard our #LearningCommunity so quiet; the staff were hooked on Graeme Armstrong’s every word. A very personal story of outstanding achievements, despite adversity, that was filled with #Hope. Don’t know how I’ll beat that at tomorrow’s in-service day!
