Have just completed big bed restoration wk to R Mel using 230T of gravel + chalk. No more silty ditch, bright stream reborn. Big thx to South Cambridgeshire District Council drainage team for support on plant and labour, and to Cambridge Water + MelbournPC for funding. The Wild Trout Trust #cleangravelfortrout
My thx to Cambridge Water for fixing a leak on my property. Mark the inspector, viewed it, and the next day it was fixed by Tom and Adam from OnSite Central I now have to take action to replace the worn pipe network within my property.
Am pleased to report on successful gravel cleaning training given to CURAT: Cam Upper Reaches Action Team. Fixed black gravel is now good for trout spawning. Water jets and leaf blowers used, just before Babet put an end to our day. Thx to Greater Cambridge Partnership and Rob Cambridge City Council for funding. Next tree hinging.
