andrew wilson Risky Driver He didn't creep anywhere. She reacted like that because she wasn't paying attention to the road around her and didn't see him coming. Which clearly shows the problem with mobile use while driving.

andrew wilson Risky Driver She was only scared because she was completely oblivious to what is going on around her.

A good driver wouldn't react that way as they wouldn't be staring down at their phone but paying attention to what is going on around them.

You would hope she won't be doing it again.

Mr. Taurus Risky Driver She’s in control of her car in traffic. She’s literally driving. You don’t have to be moving to get driving.
I take it you don’t have a driving licence.

Mr. Taurus Risky Driver *Licence.

Agree or disagree, it’s the law.
The reality is that people don’t suddenly end the call the moment the traffic starts moving again.

Nor does your concentration return spontaneously if you do. You remain distracted for several seconds after.

Risky Driver Did you have an incident before this? Feel as though you've intentionally passed him at the red light, and pulled of exceptionally slowly.

Are you turning right, is that why you're in the RH lane?

Agree his pass is dangerous, but so is your cycling imv

andrew wilson Risky Driver He didn't creep anywhere, nor was he letching. He was on the road, lit, and moving at a typical speed. If she wasn't fixated on her phone she'd have seen him coming.

If that was one of my 'loved ones' I'd hope that she'd take the opportunity to be a safer presence on the road.

andrew wilson Risky Driver It's really simple.

While driving don't use your phone, drink or take drugs, speed or drive like a maniac etc & you won't get caught.

If you do any of the above and you get caught then you've only got yourself to blame.

People need to take responsibility for their actions.

Mr. Taurus andrew wilson CyclingMikey the Unspeakable F C Risky Driver She probably would have noticed him sooner. Also, in general there are plenty of risks/situations that people miss because they are on their phone when stationary.
