Wrapping up my first year as a Golf Course Superintendent and to say the least it’s been a BUSY one. No more dead spots on the greens I adopted, phase 1 of bunker reno is complete, phase 1 of cart path reno is complete, around 100 trees taken down, and new irrigation controllers.

A rainy week means art class in the shop. Fresh stain on the water cooler houses and painted new yardage markers for the range. 🎨

A slow quiet morning after 1.5” of rain yesterday

Bulk spread day with some help from Howard Fertilizer & Chemical, Inc with some appreciation to my crew for staying late to get the job done.

Laying down a truck load of sod on the hottest week of the year so far calls for a 5:00 start to beat the heat. The views are worth it and the crew is kicking tail.

Sometimes it’s easy to forget where we came from and how far along we have come. I was scrolling through pictures this weekend and stumbled upon this transformation. Thankful for all the help and advice I have received thus far in my career!

Sunday afternoon spent covering greens. Thankful for a husband that enjoys helping us at the course whenever we need it. Dogs Of Turf Waylon leading the pack one cover at a time!
