Congratulations to Lukas and team CRC 1349 Fluorine-Specific Interactions. Our work on fluorinated dialkyl chloronium salts has been accepted by Angewandte Chemie. It is a very powerful reagent for fluoroalkylation and hydride abstraction, as shown by the activation of pentane! onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/an…

A single O atom is stabilised by a MG Lewis acid to form OBeF2, showing interesting fluorine-specific interactions.
