The forced Rwanda scheme is 'to have their claims processed there' says Ciaran Jenkins, failing to add 'and have to stay there even if their claim is accepted'.
Too many people still think it's just 'offshore processing'.

Funny, isn't it, that Liverpool City Council chose to add to their earlier statement (about carer Marie and her nephew Stephen) after they'd have realised it was to be featured on . Marie actually looked great considering how hard her life must be.

In announcing the name of her replacement (Vanessa Feltz) LBC have pretty much confirmed that Sangita Myska was silenced for questioning the conduct of Israel’s war.

This is insane. at its worst. Our mainstream media is fast becoming a farce. Boycott LBC

Steven Boxall Even if you extend the false household budget analogy, a mortgage of 300% of income would be considered a bargain, not a shortcut to bankruptcy.

Visited a NHS Hospital today and was surprised (and shocked) how much advertising from private health providers is allowed there.

Considering how much some of these university presidents are getting paid - 4.5 million dollars a year for Shafik, I heard - you’d think they would have some minimal leadership skills

Nothing can justify Israeli airstrikes and bombing of Rafah, Gaza’s largest refugee camp where 1.7 million Palestinian civilians are sheltering

This is Terrorism. This is genocide. Yet our political leaders are complicit

Israel does not want peace. It wants Gaza. Ceasefire Now

Matthew Syed You ought to be thoroughly ashamed of that post. You’re pushing long-debunked misinformation designed to make the lives of millions of people worse and shorter. That’s evil.

You'd expect someone that writes for The Times to actually understand how the UK Government's finances and funding works. As a currency issuing government it is self-financing. It can afford what ever is available to buy in £££s. It cannot 'go bankrupt'.

Pro-democracy, pro-US Constitution liberals, including those holding economic views or other views traditionally considered 'leftist' in the USA, need to understand they're in an intellectual, political battle against both an anti-democracy, powerful right and a much weaker left.

In my local Sainsbury's today it was 'cash only' as the card system was down.

It is a good job not all of their customer have gone 'card only', as many business want us to go. Sainsbury's They'd have no customers and we'd have no food.

Gullis misled the HoC this afternoon, saying that an “illegal migrant” has been “deported” to Rwanda.

He was referring to the man who was denied asylum here, and accepted an offer of £3,000 to go.

Sunak then stood up and declared that Gullis was “absolutely right”.

May Day was founded to commemorate a police massacre in America 138 years ago and it is still not officially marked in America today. Thinking of that as I watch my place of work, Columbia University, where once again police are summoned to attack those yearning for a better world
