I know Jamaicans were caught up with yesterday’s news cycle, but for those of you who are minded, wouldn’t want you to miss the news from ETOC that 97 recommendations are on track and only 4 are lagging.

While I struggle with rankings, I know many rely on them. My alma mater is at the top. However, I can take no joy in knowing that only 27 of 170 high schools in Jamaica were able to make this list...ie. 50% of students attaining 5 CSEC subjects inclusive of Math and English. 🇯🇲

What is meant by “nearly all” and “significant progress”. Is there a results monitoring framework that we can see MOESYI Jamaica🇯🇲 that will tell us about the progress on each recommendation that has been selected as an area of priority?

People on this app would do well to be loyal only to Jamaica. Why are we so quick to defend one or the other of these 2 parties with such conviction? I wouldn’t even swear for my own children the way some of you do. Mind blowing 🇯🇲

Many people on this app need so badly to be RIGHT & are invested in demonstrating that Andrew or Mark are right or wrong, that they forget what is RIGHT for Jamaica. More focus on the WHY would get us to real solutions. That is only if this is what the goal is. #checkourselves 🇯🇲

Renee Rattray Some persons don't realize that caring more about JLP or PNP rather than what is wrong or right for Jamaica is exactly what has held Jamaica back. #motivatedreasoning

I hear this father’s heart…so much truth and much to unpack.…homework -it’s purpose and use; lack of teacher understanding of project-based learning; absence of art and creativity in school. Visit the average Jamaican school’s art room& your head would hurt you. No resources 🇯🇲

She lost her Dad, and found her purpose. Now she honors him through her amazing work, which is changing and saving lives. A little child leads us, in honour of Child Month. Sage Harrison is in the #SimSoulSessions #SafeSpace. Monday.

Happy Teachers’ Day to all teachers who show up each day to love & inspire our babies and who make the extraordinary happen in these unprecedented times! Honoured to be numbered among the many teachers who understand the assignment. WE SEE YOU! WE SALUTE YOU! YOU MATTER!

I would never swear for my own chldrn the way some people on this app swear for Andrew & Mark. It is mind blowing to see people I know engaging in the meanest exchanges, seldom around what is best for Jamaica - always about who did it better or worse. How do we change this? 🇯🇲

Educators, if we want parental engagement and involvement, we must first communicate well from the start. I love this teacher’s welcome letter to parents.

Ready, set, go! Watch the fake outrage for 9 dys. Watch a lazy media ask the wrong ?s. Watch policymakers make this about Pembroke Hall. Watch teachers blame parents & parents accept things as they are & demand nothing more. Watch us go back to doing nothing. Repeat…🇯🇲
