May 17th is the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT). This year's theme is 'No one left behind: equality, freedom, and justice for all.' Sadly, LGBTIQ refugees are often left behind by larger humanitarian organizations and institutions.

Through Rainbow Railroad’s Canadian Private Sponsorship program, and Welcome Corps across the United States, volunteers provide critical support to LGBTQI+ newcomers after they arrive in a new country.
