The #UNGA gavel is Iceland’s🇮🇸 symbolic contribution to the parliament of the world: The General Assembly 🇺🇳🌎

It is a symbol of democratic principles, rule of law and the importance of peaceful (if sometimes heated) dialogue among us, “the Peoples..”.

Iceland has, together with PACE, issued a call for nominations for the Vigdís Prize for Women's Empowerment.

The annual prize of 60,000 Euros will reward outstanding initiatives that promote the empowerment of women.

👉Deadline for submitting nominations is 15 February.
