When I was applying to a Marie Curie I asked a former colleague and friend if they could share their successful application with me.

Maybe I just take more time to understand things or am less intelligent than average which is very possible. But understanding how to do research / methodology is a completely different skill set compared to plain studying courses. And you NEED courses in order to do research
