It’s been an amazing year for Osprey passing through our little part of North Wales. RSPB Conwy has had its share as they pass north + several have been seen over Llandudno (mostly from Alan Davies front window!). Today, 3 birds were on Conwy estuary including this bird☺️👍

First Bee Orchid of the year RSPB Conwy. Miraculous, as the ground is totally parched! Also Early Marsh Orchid, plenty of False Fox Sedge and Common Spikerush in the damp areas #wildflowerhour #NorthWales

This little Drinker moth caterpillar was wandering along our estuary path yesterday. Often found in wet and marsh ground, the adults are usually on the wing from next month, so maybe they were looking for somewhere to pupate? Natur Cymru Butterfly Conservation 🦋 Cofnod #mothsmatter

Swifts live a life on the wing. From fledging at around 6 weeks old to the first time they breed at 3-4 years, they are unlikely to have touched the ground. They'll fly around 7000 miles each year and can reach speeds of 70mph. #SwiftAwarenessWeek

An enjoyable walk around RSPB Conwy - Ad and 1st Med Gull, 14 Black tailed Godwits, 13 Redshank, Cetti’s Warbler, Common Sandpiper, Pochard. It’s feeling autumnal! Good to see young birders walk with out and about with Levi Gravett and co. ☺️👍
