A great day in Liverpool. We started in Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields and the Cavern Club and followed it with a round at Royal Liverpool Golf Club.

The course was in excellent condition, a real treat to play. A big thanks to Sam Cooper for a wonderful clubhouse tour too.

Hole focus: 'Royal' (#17). Named after The Royal Hotel which housed the first Clubhouse here at #RLGCHoylake in 1869, this par-four is well-protected. The swales and undulations on the 17th green make for a difficult two-putt; par here gives you confidence for the homeward hole.
