It was an honor to welcome Deputy Secretary of Education Cindy Marten, State Superintendent Tony Thurmond & Office of Mayor Rex Richardson Robert Garcia to @LongbeachUSD Renaissance High School for the Arts for a roundtable discussion on ways to improve supports for LGBTQ+ students at the local, state & federal level 🏳️‍🌈

I continually stand in awe of our students. They are articulate, unbridled, profound & filled with hope! Today we heard from students about how to make our schools/community more educated, respectful and inclusive for students who identify as LGBTQ+. #proudtobeLBUSD #studentvoice
