It’s the little things that keep you sane during M3 year… like buying a cute new mug from Target every time you go there even though you have 20 mugs at home

Experienced my first family-centered rounds on the pediatric floor today. I love being able to involve the family and directly update them about what’s going on, what next steps are, etc., while also getting their input on everything.

I’ve had the most amazing experience on my peds rotation MCW Department of Pediatrics. The residents were incredible teachers and mentors, going out of their way to give useful feedback to make us better physicians. I learned so many skills that I’m excited to take into my future career!

Studying for my ob/gyn shelf tomorrow - my last day of clerkships in 2022! & per usual, made a study guide of things learned over the past 6 weeks. I enjoyed ob/gyn - it combined some of my passions (women's health, longitudinal pt care, surgery). Looking forward to the holidays!

Having the opportunity to do my psychiatry rotation at the VA has been incredibly eye opening and has given me so much perspective. Learning about how to care for our veterans should truly be incorporated into all medical school curriculum.

Yesterday I met up with a long-time family friend, someone who has known me since I was a baby. He was the first doctor I ever shadowed when I was in high school, which is when I started to fall in love with OBGYN. 1/2

Now being an M3, it felt surreal to talk to him about my upcoming journey applying to OBGYN residencies. Hearing how passionate he is about his work & the incredible experiences he has on a daily basis made me even more excited (if that’s possible) to go into this specialty. 2/2
