Just arrive at our field site at Kosumpee Forest Park, NE Thailand where we (Washington National Biomedical Research Center), and our colleagues at Mahasarakham U. (Mahasarakham University), have been monitoring the long-tailed macaque popul for >10 yrs. Now preparing for our 12th annual field course - begins in a couple days

The 5th day of our (PSSP IPB & Washington National Biomedical Research Center) three-week distribution survey of macaques (Mf & Mn) in Sumatra (Phase 2, focusing on the northern half of the island). Found large groups of both Mn and Mf at Taman Kera, Sumatra Utara. Pictured: adult male pig-tailed macaque (Mn).
Halfway through our 3-wk distribution survey of macaques in Sumatra - led by Dr. Entang Iskandar (PSSP IPB). Came across two large groups of Mf & Mn along the road in Aceh province. Finishing up the 1st day of our annual Field Course with a wonderful group of 25 participants from 11 institutions around Nepal. Our Nepal field course is winding up. Had a great day providing our participants with hands-on training with a variety of field research equipment - camera traps, blow pipe, radio telemetry, drone.
