Simon Morton, parish priest at Poundstock in north Cornwall, was hanged in Stratton on this day in 1549. He had joined the Cornish forces in the Prayer Book Conflict. Records show he was hanged at the Market House. He died defending his faith, Cornish language and culture 〓〓

Throwback to 1979 where you can see William Harvey, Gerald Harvey, Ronnie Harvey & Jack Harvey grading live lobsters and crawfish from a beached store box in Newlyn Harbour, despite moving to the tanks in the 80s, not much has changed!#wharveyandsons #crabmeat #shellfishmerchants
