Carl Davis CBE, an American-born composer whose scores charmed TV audiences for 50 years, has died, his family has announced. Davis wrote music for film and over 100 television programmes, including the beloved score to the 1995 adaptation of Jane Austen’s ‘Pride and Prejudice’.
